WHAT HAPPENED? What has the monkey done now? 30 fun flashcards to teach your child the concept of past tenses. English has two types of verbs – regular and irregular. Regular verbs take on -ed at the end of the verb to convert it into the past tense form.
For example, walk-walked. Irregular verbs, on the other hand, work a bit differently. Sleep-slept, eat – ate. Most of the early verbs tend to be irregular verbs. This deck, meant especially for early learners, will teach your child the first several irregular verbs plus some early regular verbs.
WHAT HAPPENED 2: Past tenses in English can be tricky, especially for those children learning it as a second language. Break-broke? Think-thought? Use this deck of cards to help your child master these difficult concepts.
This deck of cards brings together 30 important irregular verbs. In English, the rule for past tenses is that we add -ed to the end of the verb. For example, ‘finish’ becomes ‘finished’. Verbs that don’t follow this rule are called irregular past tenses. Not only does this deck help your child learn these important forms through a fun choose the correct answer activity, it also helps your child differentiate actively between the wrong form he possibly uses and the correct irregular form.
